ON TOP OF THE WORLD.

image
We would all love to soar high like the eagles in sky, with the sole objective of caressing the very stars. We all dream of being in a place of power & affluence. Lacking in nothing but having all our wildest dreams realized. Having our eyes focused on the grand prize is a feat like no other. Getting to the top means clawing your way through from the bottom scum. Having a rough day huh! Place your right hand over the left side of your chest. Feel that, that is what we call purpose.
I do not believe that only a few were meant to get to the top, even you can get there all it takes is your effort & hard work. Life will never & shall never be fair, you have to grab it by the horns and show it who is in charge. Don’t reach the top of the stair way & let people look up and admire you. Rather, once at the top admire the scenery below & appreciate where you have come from. It was a struggle & a hustle but you have reached the top at last.
“I am going to be successful, wealthy & powerful” that is what I always say to myself. It usually feels inspiring to have big dreams. My father once told me,”Son, no matter what your dreams are, never let them go. One day they will become a reality, never let anyone tell you otherwise”. To be given such advice is touching, once you achieve what you set your mind on then you will look back and be grateful for how far you have come.
The journey to our destiny is reliant on our belief of getting to the end of the road no matter how many barriers we encounter. When you are at the end, give a helping hand to those who are trying to reach their final destination. Let them also enjoy the view from the top, as they admire what lies below. It is vital to savour the fruits of ones hard work, after all the effort put in achieving your success. Do not mock those who are yet to realize their dreams.
It is said,”pride comes before a fall”. Let not your pride cloud your mind even if you have achieved all that you desired. In Swahili we say,”aliye juu mgonje chini na kutangulia sio kufika“. When you are on top of the mountain be there to admire the world below not to make the world admire you.
