It is quite interesting to see the reaction one has when they hear someone singing with a voice so sweet and hypnotizing it is as if they belong to the angelic choir. You are left perplexed and go like,”Damn!that is one melodious voice”. Am sure we can relate to that kind of experience one time or the other. Where you have seen someone play the violin like as if it had been forged and crafted just specifically for them. Well, that is what been gifted or talented looks like.
Where an individual has a certain skill that is unique and is brought out in a magnificent manner to the astonishment of those either watching or listening. We sit back and go like,”i wish i could do that”. Each and everyone of us has a different talent in us. Some are quite good actors to the extent when they are on stage you are taken to a whole new dimension. Leaving you yearning for more and feeling that the experience had was not from this world.
We were not all born the same, each of us is as different as the days of the week. Anyway if you feel that you are good at something do not shy away from who you are find the courage to unleash your true potential. I know going before a public crowd is like standing before the hangs man who is ready to release the trap door and having the noose around you neck tighten. It is okay, the best way for you is to start small then you advance to bigger things.
For example let us say you are good with speeches but you have never ever done any before anyone. Go to a full length mirror and practice with that, then you advance to one of your friends and then to a small crowd and progress that way. We each have a gift inside of us, all we have to do is nurture it then it shall become second nature to us. Do not be the individual who never tries to discover themselves, you would be quite surprised by the discovery that you will make.
The same way as Christopher Columbus Italian explorer, navigator, and colonizer who discovered America, he took a chance and did what no man was wiling to do We are all gifted but a good number of us never even bother to open their package.
