“You will never amount to anything” the words that echoed in my ears when I was been told I was just wasting my time in school. “You can’t do that, let someone else handle it”. Have you ever been told that just because someone saw you as a weakling and you looked puny in their eyes. It is amazing that as part of the human nature we have a degrading attitude towards the growth of others in their success and life in general.
We are a race that has a mindset aimed at benefiting oneself and not aid those who are still struggling to get on their feet. What a shame! The faith in humanity is truly lost in itself. When one starts escalating in their social status we come up with all kind of reasons as to why it should not be so, most commonly observed is that they have sold their soul to the devil or they are part of the Illuminati.
We are really a pathetic lot that leach on the strengths of others with the sole aim of bringing them to their knees. Instead of encouraging and boosting the morale of such individuals who only aim at bettering themselves. Life will truly never be fair but that does not mean that you mirror what the world does to you. It is like telling a child you have done well but next time improve just a little bit, this has a more positive effect than been demeaned.
Never let anyone tell you that you can’t make it. Look at our own Oscar award winner Lupita Nyongo who has graced the red carpet in Hollywood. She is famed for saying,”Your dreams are valid”. From the look of happiness from her father’s face when she received the award, you don’t need to be told that she got support from her family and those who are close to her. In all you do never accept that you can’t make it in life.
Know this,”whoever is trying to bring you down is already beneath you”.
