Every road leads to a different destination,some are easy to travel on while others are full of barriers, twist and turns. It is upon us to decide which way we shall take to reach our final stop. We all have a past, in which some of our deeds are meant to be kept there, in the past because if they ever materialize in the present all hell will break lose. Letting our past be unveiled is like opening the Pandora’s box. As such we all need to let go of our past otherwise we shall ruin our future by tainting our present with things of old.
I do know that there are things which are in our past that we tend to hold close to us. It is like having an old school classic car which one has had for so many years. Then here comes the latest of cars all high tech, luxurious, fast and what not. Yet one refuses to let go of that which he/she is so used to. It takes a lot of will power to take a stand and release that which you have carried from you life of old. It all ends up, in you making a decision that you know will affect how your life runs.
In making a decision I look at the 3cs of most decision making. These are: choices, challenges and the consequences. Choices entails making up your mind about what you want to do and sticking by it. Challenges dwells on the difficulties one will face when taking a stand. While the consequences looks at what will be the final result of the stand that you take. You past should be kept away from your present and shackled from interfering with your future.
Do not insist of bringing baggage from your past to the present or else you future will be destined for a quick and brutal death. You need to let go and move on, am not saying it is going to be easy but you have to start from somewhere, letting go step by step till you are all in the clear. Take the chance of starting a fresh and facing your future with the knowledge that past mistakes made were meant to arm you for a more fruitful life.
