Music is indeed food for the soul, or is it? Some of us get engulfed in the serenity of live music entwined with the sweet melodies of vocals that sooth the silent night, leaving you in a state of serenity. A smile forms on your lips as you take it all in, soaking in the calmness of it all, without a care in a world of the worries, burdens & pain that follows you like a shadow.
When you get to meet up with a friend whom you have not seen in ages, the memories of the time passed get etched in the back of your mind. There you are wondering, why there was a gap in your relation. Adulting may be part of it, other times it could be that you all were facing life at different stages that bridging the gap that once felt familiar to seem like a chore.
You don’t have to go through a guilty trip due to the silence that was, what matters is the moment that is now. How you take it from there, is what will charter the way of how the journey ahead will look like. In this life, nothing is at seems, you must remember that we are all on our own path of self-discovery filled at times with more questions than answers.
We live & let live, for in this time the present is what matters that is why it is a gift. The sun rises from the east and sets in the west, at no time does it rise from the north and sets in the south. We need to appreciate that, hills & valleys may not meet but people will always meet one way or another.
As you forge forward in your living, remember that true friends don’t show up when the sun is shining, they walk in when the sky turns dark, when everyone else disappears. It is only at your lowest that you see who stays, who checks in, and who never asks for anything in return.
Despite how life takes you in its windy roller coaster, hold on, the ride is not over, let the wind blow in your face & throw care to the side. Do not lose your joy. It is the spark that makes life worth living. It is the fuel that drives your passions and dreams. In a world that can sometimes be dark and overwhelming, your joy is a beacon of hope.
It is a reminder that better days are ahead and that every storm will pass. We all have our own chosen paths that is unique to each of us. Just because someone is doing better or portrays to do better than you, do not fret, we all have our own timing when things will align themselves like the stars of the sky. A wise man once told me, “If you don’t schedule a break, your body will take one for you & it probably won’t be at a convenient time”.
I have a snippet for you, did you know that it takes 21 days to build a habit, 90 days to build a lifestyle. It takes 3 months to change your life essentially, it is not easy, but it is simple. All of us are surrounded by people whom we deem to be close & those whom we keep at an arm’s length.
It is said everyone ought to have their circle, which would mostly comprise of various people whom you relate to on various levels. However, it is vital to note that Jesus sat with Judas knowing his betrayal, but stayed silent. Sometimes wisdom is letting the fake think they are fooling you. Move in silence, let their actions expose them.
You are unique in your own standing & those whom you surround yourself with, will determine in one way or another, the likely trajectory that your life may take, shaping it whether directly or indirectly into one-of-a-kind life style. Maybe the journey isn’t about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about unbecoming everything that isn’t really you, so that you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.
At times, we make promises but the circumstances don’t favor us. That doesn’t mean we didn’t honor it. Perhaps things will work out someday. There was some insight I got from my many scrolling in the socials where it was quoted, “If they stand behind you, protect them. If they stand beside you, support them. If they stand against you, may God have mercy on them”.
Lately, I have noticed everybody looks okay until you eventually have a deep conversation with them. And, then you will realize that, this is a generation of people struggling to survive through smiling faces and pretty pictures. It may all seem that someone has it all together by the very fact of what you can see on the inside but deep down they are in a raging battle of odds.
A kind word/gesture never lost its flavor on someone, as it has a way of just making one feel whole despite what they are facing. It will be my take that you sit with people who protect your name in your absence. It takes a lot to stand up for someone else even if they don’t value you that much nor show it to you.
Never forget who was there for you at your lowest when no one else was. Those are the people who have your best interest at heart. In all of this, stop being the “Go to person” for people you can’t go to. I would like to leave you with this, “Art is not what you see but what you make others feel. Create from the depths of your being”.

is in heaven, may your will be done in our lives. We are your children learning
as we keep on growing. In the good & the bad times, we say thank you. You
are Adonai, the creator of the heavens & the earth. There is nothing that
is beyond for you are a mighty God. Lord Jesus, we seek you in all that we do &
who we are to be as a version that is acceptable to you. El Shaddai, thank you
for being our God. I put my trust in you that in all that we do, may your will be
done. I pray this, believing & trusting in the loving name of Jesus Christ.
